The iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16e are two of Apple's most talked-about devices right now. With so much buzz around their release, many people are wondering: are they actually the same size? The short answer is no, but the differences are subtle enough to catch shoppers off guard. Knowing these details can save you from buying a phone that doesn't feel right in your hand.
The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16e comes with a slightly smaller 6.1-inch screen, but it is actually thinner and lighter overall. The 16e measures approximately 147mm in height compared to the 16's 147.6mm. That might sound tiny, but when you hold both side by side, you can notice the 16e feels a little more compact and easier to grip with one hand.
This difference matters for families who share apps or accessories. A case designed for the iPhone 16 may not fit the 16e perfectly. Parents buying phones for both teenagers and younger siblings should check the exact dimensions before ordering protective gear. Even screen protectors can vary between the two models, so it's worth double-checking compatibility.
Must Read
For everyday users, the size difference affects comfort during long calls, gaming sessions, and reading. Someone who spends hours scrolling social media might prefer the lighter 16e for its portability, while another person might enjoy the slightly larger grip of the standard 16 for video streaming on the couch.

In conclusion, while the iPhone 16 and 16e are closely related, they are not the same size. Taking a few minutes to understand these differences ensures your next phone matches your lifestyle perfectly.
