Let’s cut to the chase. Suzie is not just a random name dropped in a desert. She’s the super-smart, code-cracking girlfriend of Dustin Henderson. And her age? It’s a quirky little mystery that fans love to debate.
In Stranger Things Season 3, we first hear her voice over the radio. Dustin sings “The NeverEnding Story” with her. It’s adorable, ridiculous, and suddenly, everyone wonders: how old is this girl?
The show gives us a clue. Dustin is 14 in Season 3. Suzie says she’s in “the advanced placement program.” That screams smart, but it doesn’t scream an exact number.
Must Read
Fans went deep into the lore. Suzie’s family, the Binghams, are a huge Mormon clan. She mentions her ten siblings. That suggests she might be a little older or a little younger than Dustin, but likely in the same grade.
Here’s the fun part: the actress who plays Suzie, Gabriella Pizzolo, was 16 during filming in 2018. That’s a two-year gap from Dustin’s actor, Gaten Matarazzo, who was 15 at the time. But age on screen doesn’t always match real life.
The show’s official wiki? It guesses 14 for Suzie. That makes sense. She and Dustin met at a science camp. Nerds find nerds. They’re both likely the same age, give or take a few months.
Suzie Still's Instagram, Twitter & Facebook on IDCrawl
But wait—there’s a hilarious twist. In Season 4, Suzie appears in person. She saves the day by hacking into a database. She’s still brilliant. But she also has a British accent? No, that’s her putting on airs. Dustin calls her out. She’s just being dramatic.
So, is she 14? Probably. But the show never says it out loud. That’s why we love it. Stranger Things leaves breadcrumbs, not a full loaf.
Why does this matter? Because it’s fun. Debating Suzie’s age is like arguing about which flavor of Eggo is best. It’s pointless, but it makes you smile.
Stranger Things Season 5 Should Top This Hilarious Suzie Family Scene
Another quirky fact: Suzie’s family lives on a farm. In Season 4, we see her chores—milking goats, fixing tractors. She’s a genius who lives like a pioneer. That’s a hilarious contrast. A 14-year-old who can break encryption but can’t get Wi-Fi in the barn.
And remember the scene where Dustin asks her to compute a gravity equation? She does it in her head. Instantly. If she’s 14, she’s basically a teenage Einstein. If she’s 15 or 16, she’s still terrifyingly brilliant.
Let’s not forget the time she threatened Dustin with a sniper. Yes, she joked about his “doom” if he didn’t call her. That’s the energy of a confident kid. Age doesn’t define sass.

So, how old is Suzie? The safest bet is 14, same as Dustin. But here’s the real answer: it doesn’t matter. She’s a hilarious, brilliant, goat-milking chaos agent. Her age is just a number you can giggle over with friends.
Next time you rewatch Season 3, listen for the song. Watch Suzie’s face. She’s having the time of her life. So are we. And that’s the only truth we need.
