Let’s be honest—sometimes the most random questions pop into your head while you’re folding laundry or waiting for your coffee to brew. Like, “How old is Oh Il Nam?” It’s one of those curious little rabbit holes that suddenly seems way more interesting than whatever you’re supposed to be doing.
If you’ve seen the hit Netflix show Squid Game, you know Oh Il Nam is the elderly man with a gentle smile and a mysterious past. He’s the player with number 001, and he becomes a kind of grandfather figure to the main character. But his age isn’t just a number—it’s a clue.
In the show, Oh Il Nam tells us he is 76 years old. But here’s the thing: he’s also the mastermind behind the deadly games. So why should you care about the age of a fictional villain? Because it makes you think about how we judge people in real life.
